Educating your children at home
Education is often mostly carried out in the classroom, but children start learning from the day they are born and so therefore it is vital that a certain amount of education is taught at home. There are many ways in which to aid your child’s learning, none of which need to be complex.
At the early stages this could be something as simple as getting your child to draw pictures and shapes and then progressing to letters and numbers. Counting with your child whilst carrying out everyday tasks such as walking up stairs will give them a basic knowledge of numbers. There are also many great books available for parents to complete with their child which will give them an understanding of some of the topics they will be covering when they start school.
If you are unsure as to how to help your child with their learning then all child care centres and health visitors will be able to give you a few ideas to get you started.
