Whatever school you want to work at, you have to prove that you’re passionate about teaching and children, and in order to get started and get some experience under your belt, you may want to do some voluntary work experience. Each and every year, college and uni students will undertake work experience alongside their studies, because today that’s how important experience is, almost as important as the university degree itself. Before you apply for work experience, ask yourself these three questions: Will this work experience be relevant to the career path I want to take? Will it look good on my CV and improve upon it? Do I have the passion required for this work experience role?
If you’re new in the world of teaching, or perhaps new to teaching primary school children, we’re providing you with five solid pieces of advice to help you control the classroom, and teach the student in an engaging way without too many distractions. Explain to them your roles, and reinforce them throughout the lessons. Have fixed punishments and explain them clearly. Move at a comfortable place, explaining information repeatedly to children who did not fully understand Reward the children who do well, therefore setting an example to the others. There is no doubt that laptops are good resources, the internet is essentially the world’s biggest library with no end of resources. But for many students especially those in school, it can cause problems, because it can be easy to find irrelevant and distracting information.
