A Strict Teaching Style
Students do not always want to pay attention in classes, and they may show no signs of interest in the subject you’re teaching, which is why a strict teaching style can be useful.
If a teacher is strict, they’re likely to be the centre of attention, hoping to have all eyes on them, rather, giving the students someone to focus on. Strictness can often involve a stern voice and a set of rigid rules, whilst a strict teacher will have no qualms about offering out discipline for disruptive students.
If your students are not paying a great deal of attention in your classes, then perhaps you should take up a strict teaching style, but remember it requires confidence; not only confidence in yourself, but in your own set of rules.
You should also remember that it’s important to not overdo the strictness, because students may not want to participate, perhaps becoming intimidated, which is not what you want.
